PIQ®

What is it for?

PIQ® makes Psychosomatic Intelligence® measurable.

Measure a Different Dimension of Leadership Intelligence

Leadership capability is not always the same as leadership capacity.
A person may have considerable knowledge, experience and emotional awareness yet access those capabilities differently as circumstances and demands change. Psychosomatic Intelligence® introduces the physiological dimension into our understanding of that difference.
PIQ® provides a structured way to assess this capacity.

It helps shift the development conversation from simply:
“What kind of leader am I? towards:
“What patterns may be influencing how I lead?”
That distinction is central to PIQ®.

PIQ® assesses Psychosomatic Intelligence®, the capacity to recognise, interpret and regulate physiological mind–body patterns relevant to leadership and human performance. The assessment provides structured insight into how this capacity may relate to areas such as:

Leadership Performance, how mind–body patterns may influence the expression of existing leadership capability.

Decision-Making – how internal responses may interact with attention, perception and choice.

Communication & Behaviour
How recurring patterns may influence the way individuals respond and interact.

Sustainable Performance
How patterns may relate to the capacity to perform effectively over time.

Workplace Wellbeing
How the way performance is produced intersects with the experience and sustainability of that performance. The underlying constructs, assessment methodology, scoring and pattern framework are proprietary to the Institute.

Personality assessments can provide valuable insight into preferences, characteristics and behavioural tendencies. PIQ® was developed for a different purpose. It does not seek to define who you are.

It examines Psychosomatic Intelligence® and provides insight into patterns that may influence how you operate. That matters because patterns are not identities.
They can be recognised, interpreted and developed. PIQ® moves the conversation from classification to capacity.

PIQ® is a leadership intelligence assessment. It is designed to measure Psychosomatic Intelligence® within leadership and human performance contexts.

PIQ® is not:

A personality test — it does not categorise people into personality types.

A wellbeing survey — it does not simply measure how someone reports feeling at work.

An engagement survey — it is not designed to measure organisational sentiment.

A medical or psychological diagnosis — it does not diagnose physical or mental health conditions.

PIQ® is a professional, non-clinical assessment governed by defined standards of administration, interpretation and application.

An assessment only creates value if the insight can inform what happens next.
PIQ® is designed to provide a structured starting point for development rather than a fixed label or judgement of leadership potential. Results can support conversations about the patterns influencing current leadership experience and where greater Psychosomatic Intelligence® may be valuable.
PIQ® therefore sits within a broader developmental system:

Measure → Understand → Develop

The detailed interpretation and application methodology is delivered through the Institute and authorised PIQ® professionals.

PIQ® can be applied at different levels depending on the purpose of the engagement.

Individual – Provide leaders with structured insight into their Psychosomatic Intelligence® and a starting point for development.

Team – Explore patterns across leadership teams to inform development conversations and identify areas relevant to collective capacity.

Organisation – Use aggregated insight to inform broader leadership development, culture and workplace wellbeing initiatives.

Individual assessment information and organisational insights are handled within defined Institute standards and professional scopes of application.
